Why Me, Why Now?

Why Me, Why Now?

One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is:

“I’m not ready yet.”

Sometimes we say it’s not the right time.
Other times, we convince ourselves we need more experience, more money, or better connections.
But most of the time, we’re just afraid of failing.

What I Learned Early

In college, I heard a quote that stuck with me:

“Live your 20s like no one will, so you can live your 30s like no one can.”

That line forced me to ask the hard questions:
Do I want to look back and regret not taking the risk when I had the chance?
Do I want to miss the window to build something I can truly call my own?

It reminded me of something else that’s true:
You’re never truly “ready” to start a family or have kids either.
You get ready by starting.

The First Time I Took That Leap

I didn’t start with a business plan — or even the legal ability to run a business as an 8th grader.
I started with my parents’ Sam’s Club membership and a backpack full of candy bars.

It wasn’t strictly about making money.
It was about seizing an opportunity I saw in front of me.

That one move didn’t just earn me $300 a week —
It proved that if I saw a problem or opportunity, I didn’t have to wait on anyone.
I could just start.

Try This 👇

Ask yourself:

What would I already be doing if I believed I was ready?

Now do a version of it.
Even if it’s small. Even if it’s not quite put together yet.

Because the longer you wait, the easier it becomes to talk yourself out of it.
